BELLEVUE, Neb. – Donna Mitchell of Easley recently graduated from Bellevue University with a bachelor of science degree in adult education.

ELKINS, W.Va. — Aliyah Dukes was named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2013 semester at Davis & Elkins College. She is the daughter of Dirk Logan of Gaffney and Anna Dukes of Clemson. Students on the Dean’s List must earn a 3.6 GPA on a 4.0 scale while taking a minimum of 12 semester hours.

CHARLESTON, Ill. — Kaitlyn Cunningham of Clemson was one of more than 820 students who took part in the Fall 2013 commencement ceremonies.
MACON, Ga. — Kendalee Marcus of Clemson was named to the Dean’s List of Mercer University’s Tift College of Education for the fall 2013 semester. Inclusion on this list requires students to meet rigorous grade-point-average standards specific to the college or school within the University. Marcus is a junior.
CHARLESTON — John-Thomas Alexander Edwards of Pickens was among students at The Citadel honored with Gold Stars for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year. Edwards is majoring in criminal justice.
Gold Stars are awarded to students that achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher. Students that achieve Gold Star recognition are also placed on The Citadel’s Dean’s List.
CHARLESTON — Several Pickens County residents were named to the Dean’s List by The Citadel for academic excellence during the fall semester of the 2013-2014 academic year. Dean’s List recognition is given to those students registered for 12 or more semester hours whose grade point ratio is 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C for the previous semester’s work. AKRON, Ohio — Zachary Lewis of Sunset graduated from The University of Akron with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering tech. He was one of 1,453 students from 22 states and 30 countries to take part in commencement exercises.

LEXINGTON, Va. — Brandon Howes of Easley, a member of the class of 2015 at Washington and Lee University, earned Dean’s List status and Honor Roll status for the recently ended winter term 2013. Dean’s List status represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale and Honor roll status represents a term grade-average of at least 3.75 on a 4.0 scale.
WHEATON, Ill. — Olivia Coury of Sunset was named to the Dean’s List at Wheaton College for the Fall 2013 semester. She is majoring in biology. Dean’s List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale.
SPARTANBURG — Tyler Ratterree from Easley was one of 93 students participating in The Sophomore Experience at Wofford College. The event was held in January 2014.
The Sophomore Experience is a fast-paced, conference-style event to provide students with the information they need to develop a plan for their remaining two years at Wofford College. The emphasis is on understanding their strengths and choosing an appropriate major for their interests and passions, as well as on learning how to secure internships and other real-world experience that will prepare them for their professional lives.
