Attempted murder suspect surrenders

ANDERSON — Attempted Murder suspect Jervon Quantez Martin, 25, surrendered March 19 to officers at the Anderson County Detention Center.

Martin is accused of robbing an individual on Jan. 4 and threatening his life at gunpoint. He is now charged with attempted murder and armed robbery and is being held at the Anderson County Detention Center on $80,000 bond.

His accomplice in this case, Julian Montez Hunter, 33, was taken into custody on Jan. 30 and released on $30,000 bond the following day. Hunter is also charged with armed robbery.

If found guilty, Martin faces up to 60 years in prison. Hunter could be looking at anywhere from 10 to 30 years.
