One man was killed and another injured in a wreck this morning on Interstate 85.
As of 3:30 p.m., only one lane of I-85 northbound was open from Hamilton Road to Lafayette Parkway. The wreck, reported to 911 officials at 6:21 a.m., left both lanes closed until about 1:45 p.m.
According to Tracey Watson of the Georgia Department of Public Safety public information office, two tractor trailers were northbound on I-85 in the right lane, when one of the trucks hit the other in the rear. After impact the truck in the rear caught fire and its driver died at the scene.
The other driver, identified as Adrian Dejuan Tillman, 41, of High Point, N.C., was injured and transported to West Georgia Medical Center, where officials said he was treated and released.
The family of the deceased driver had not yet been notified, and officials had not released his identity.
