Officials with the Troup County Sheriff's Office and LaGrange Police Department are currently on the hunt for a murder suspect linked to a Lanett, Ala., murder.
Thomas Brent Starkey, 23, of Valley, Ala., is a wanted suspect for the alleged shooting and murder of an Lanett man that occurred in the 3200 block of 44th Avenue in Lanett.
TCSO Public Information Officer Stewart Smith said the suspect along with three other suspects were reportedly in LaGrange. A pursuit of the suspects led to them ditching their car on Interstate 85 south near exit 6. They fled on foot and officials are currently on the scene searching for them.
Sheriff's officials confirmed about 11 a.m. that a female suspect is in custody. About noon, officials announced that a second suspect was apprehended after a 911 tip that he went up to a home on Sandtown Road and asked to use a phone.
The LPD posted an article on is Facebook page asking for help locating the suspect. According to the WTVM article, Starkey is considered armed and dangerous.
