EASLEY — It’s always been tough for the kids to head back to school, but when the signs of summer are still so apparent it makes it even tougher.
But the City of Easley tried to ease students’ pain last Saturday.
Old Market Square was the site of the back to school Water Blast, and a blast is what was had by all the kids in attendance. There were even a few parents and adults enjoying the midday cooling of waterslides and fun.
The event was free and provided local children and their families one more romp before back to school is long forgotten and the 90 degree temperatures are just a memory. Sand boxes, games and plenty of cool water made for a great way to kick off the Labor Day weekend.
