EASLEY- City officials are awaiting word on the amount of damage to a patrol car involved in a wreck Tuesday.

According to Maj. Tim Tollison, a squad car struck the back of another automobile, causing a chain reaction that resulted in a four car collision. Tollison reported no injuries from the incident and said it was being investigated by the SC highway patrol.

“The accident involved Easley Officer Jon Norton, but we have not received an estimate on the damage to our vehicle or those of the other automobiles involved in the accident,” Tollison said. “The other people involved in the accident were Amy Thompson of Easley, Wesley Campbell of Easley, and Ralph Herden of Central.”

A spokesman for the highway patrol said his department’s report on the incident would be available upon completion.
