On April 16, my house at 213 S. 8th Street in Easley Mill burned down. No one was injured. However, the house and contents were a total loss. I would like to thank the Red Cross for all their help. Thanks to the Easley Fire Department and all of the brave firemen, under the direction of Chief Womack, and Assistant Chief McLain. They were on the scene within minutes. They had the fire under control very quickly so there was no danger to other houses nearby. Thanks to all of my many friends from the flea market, my neighbors and all the folks from Easley, Pickens, Liberty and Greenville who have helped Marie and me. A special thanks to Pastor Robert Loriler and his people at Elljean Baptist Church for their help. Most of all to the Lord Jesus, who has been with Marie and me through it all.
