I have never endorsed a political candidate, until now. Rick Tate and I grew up together and I know first hand his character, morals and beliefs. I remember seeing him read encyclopedias, of all things, because he was hungry to learn. He always had the questions “Why and How” on his mind. Rick has not changed. His interest in government and politics have always been on his mind not because he only had the why and how question but Rick understands those questions and has logical answers. He hasn’t just “done his homework” but he lives the issues day in and day out. Rick’s opinions have not just surfaced, he has had the same opinions all his life and I’m glad he has finally decided to step out and voice those “common sense” values and solutions and run for SC House District 5. Rick’s life-long approach to the issues are well known to me because we are cousins and I know firsthand his passion for doing what’s right. I hope District 5 comes out in his support on June 10. Rick, you can count on me.
