CLEMSON — The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Clemson University will host its Back to OLLI Fall Reception from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Charles K. Cheezem Education Center, 100 Thomas Green Boulevard in Clemson.
The free event is open to the public.
Those who are new to OLLI or returning to OLLI after time away can attend the New and Returning Member Orientation from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. prior to the reception.
Donations of shampoo, toothpaste, tooth brushes, face and hand lotion, soap, combs, dish liquid, and toilet paper will be accepted to supplement the Senior Food Box Project at Clemson Community Care.
OLLI was formed so Upstate adults age 50 and older can continue the joy of learning and building community. The OLLI program is dedicated to providing opportunities for seasoned adults to gain knowledge and expertise in a wide variety of academic and recreational pursuits that match participants’ interests and way of life.
The organization has nearly 1,000 members and offers more than 200 courses and activities each year. OLLI’s goal is to make learning fun and interactive while also strengthening its community and encouraging participants to form lasting friendships.
