Dr. Bob Black has written “To Serve the Present Age” highlighting the history of the ministries of Dr. Roy S. Nicholson and Dr. Virgil A. Mitchell, along with others who impacted the lives of students over Southern Wesleyan University’s 107 years of existence.

Black is a professor of religion at Southern Wesleyan and a 1967 religion graduate.

The book is being offered as a thank you gift to donors who contribute at least $100 to the Nicholson-Mitchell Christian Ministry Center. Approximately $800,000 is still needed to purchase and renovate this beautiful church. For details, go online to swu.edu/nmcenter, and/or contact either Dr. Bob Black, professor of religion and campaign co-chair at (864) 644-5230 / email bblack@swu.edu or Dr. Lisa McWherter, vice president for development at (864) 644-5008 / email lmcwherter@swu.com.
