Since 1955 the Carolina Youth Symphony has been dedicated to the advancement of musical excellence and the enhancement of musical arts in the Carolinas. On May 11, a Senior Honors Concert took place at McAllister Auditorium on the campus of Furman University. This concert featured the graduating seniors of the Carolina Youth Symphony. During the concert, Daniel High School band students Emily Ray and Tad Day were presented with the “Outstanding Musical Contribution Award” by the Carolina Youth Symphony for their “dedicated service and musicianship.”
