PICKENS ─ After a nine-month investigation, Pickens police charged eight people Monday on various drug charges.
According to a release from the Pickens Police Department, 37 of the 51 warrants issued in the case have been executed, and other arrests are expected.
Those charged are Gregory Webb, 52; Carlton Holley Jr., 19; Fredrick L. Smith, 32; James Nathaniel Holloway, 74; Willis L. Earle, 21; Darnell C. Russell, 32; and Terry Hallums Jr., 26, all of Pickens; and Patty L. Holloway, 53, of Six Mile.
Webb faces charges of conspiracy to sell crack, distribution of crack and distribution of crack near a school.
Patty Holloway is charged with two counts of conspiracy to sell crack, two counts of distribution of crack and two counts of distribution of crack near a school.
Holley faces three counts of distribution of marijuana, three counts of distribution of marijuana near a school and conspiracy to sell marijuana.
Smith is charged with conspiracy to sell crack, distribution of crack and distribution of crack near a school.
James Holloway is charged with conspiracy to sell crack, distribution of crack and distribution of crack near a school.
Earle faces a charge of conspiracy to sell crack, three counts of distribution of crack and three counts of distribution of crack near a school.
Russell is charged with conspiracy to sell crack, four counts of distribution of crack and four counts of distribution of crack near a school.
And Hallums faces two charges, distribution of crack and distribution of crack near a school.
Six are being held at the Pickens County Detention Center, and bond has been set.
Webb was already being held by the Department of Directions, according to detention officers, and Hallums was released on a $25,000 surety bond.
The Pickens Police Department is still investigating the case.
