EASLEY — David Cheatham, 69, of 111 McDaniel Avenue, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2012 at his home.

Born in New Britain, Ct., a son of the late James Cheatham, Sr., and the late Pearline Matthew Cheatham, Mr. Cheatham retired as a driver with Trash Away after thirty-four years of service.

Surviving are is wife, Barbara Palmer Cheatham of the home; two daughters, Wendylee Pitts (Robert) of Easley, and Tammieray Hanning of New Britain, Ct; a grandson who he raised, David Hanning of Easley; a brother, Harvey Cheatham of New Britain, Ct; a sister, Barbara Jean Baker (John) of Augusta, GA; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cheatham was predeceased by two brothers, James Cheatham, Jr., and Charlie Cheatham, a sister, Katherine Seamore, and by a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Gene Pitts officiating.. Burial will follow in Secona Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

The family is at the residence.
