EASLEY — Iva Cecil “Steve” Stewart, Jr., 60, husband of Annette Porter Stewart, passed away January 1, 2013 at MUSC in Charleston.

Born in Greenville to the late Iva Cecil Stewart and Lavon Trotter “Bonnie” Stewart, Steve was a graduate of Easley High School. After high school, he went on to be a CNC Machinist for Saco Lowell and GE. Mr. Stewart was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church where he was an active Usher, a member of the Sign Committee, on the Building and Grounds Committee, and the Fellowship Committee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing for largemouth bass, Clemson football, and Duke basketball, but most of all he was a loving husband, a caring father, and a devoted grandfather.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Steve “Scooter” Stewart, III (Dawn); a daughter, Crissy Stewart; four grandchildren, Chloe Hooper, Alana, Jay, and Charity Stewart; and three sisters, Linda Ramey, Darnel Corley, and Leslie Mayer.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 5, 2013, in the sanctuary of Jones Avenue Baptist Church, with the Reverend Dr. Roger Couch officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park, in Pickens.

A visitation is 1:00 P.M. to 2:45 P.M., prior to the service, at the church.

The family is at the home.
