KUTNO, Poland – The Netherlands Big League Baseball team is favored to win the EMEA Championship game Saturday and earn a return trip to Easley to compete in the Big League World Series.

Today the Netherlands defeated Moldovia 10-0 in the third day of pool play. Both teams entered the game with 2-0 records in pool play.

Tomorrow the Netherlands will need to defeat Moldovia in a rematch to earn a trip to the Big League World Series in Easley.

The Netherlands opened the tournament with a 9-2 in over Lithuania Wednesday and followed with a 12-0 win over Poland.

In a game that mattered only to the players on the field, Poland defeated Lithuania 3-2 Friday. Poland ends the tournament with a 1-2 record, while Lithuania ends winless at 0-3.

A win tomorrow over Moldovia would give the Netherlands their third EMEA title in the past eight years. The Netherlands participated in the 2004 and 2010 BLWS, finishing with 1-3 records each year. No EMEA representative has won more than one game in the Big League World Series since it came to Easley in 2001.
