United Christian Ministries sets fall festival

United Christian Ministries is organizing an annual Fall Fest/5K Run Saturday Nov. 3, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

in Easley’s Old Market Square/Amphitheater.

“We hope you will join in this celebration of UCM’s cooperative ministry with our community,” said Teresa nash, executive director. The morning begins with the 5K at 8 a.m. and continues with the Fall Fest activities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the amphitheater stage

The event will feature local musicians and will offer games and inflatable fun for kids, hotdogs and hamburgers, and booths by area churches and event sponsors. The Festival and food are free.

Preregistration information for the 5K or 1 mile fun run is available through Oct. 27 on website at www.ucmpc.org or registration can be made at the event.

The order for the amphitheater stage activities will be as follows:

Welcome/Opening Remarks (UCM Board of Directors Chairperson, Ginnye Lusk)

5K Run Awards

Sunlit Moon (local band from St. Andrew United Methodist Church)

United Men’s Choir of Easley (group of gentlemen from several area churches)

Mountain View Baptist Church Quartet (from Six Mile…traditional Southern Gospel harmony)

Danielle Yother, winner of Pickens County Has Talent competition held last school year to benefit SDPC. She is a member of Pickens First Baptist Church.
