Rotary learns about New Media

About 30 members of the Pickens Rotary Club heard a program today about changes in community news gathering operations. The presentation was made by Pickens Sentinel Editor/General Manager Lonnie Adamson, a member of the club, and the media company’s Advertising Manager Chris Wyatt. Adamson spoke about new opportunities, which allow daily news update to the company’s website compared to the typical weekly news offerings of community newspapers. Wyatt talked about new technology that will allow advanced advertising options on websites and mobile devices.
