Belk in Easley will celebrate the 125 year anniversary of all Belk stores Wednesday May 29. According to Manager John Fiedler, 100 gift cards will be given away at the Easley store’s ribbon cutting ceremony 9 a.m. Fiedler said the clothing chain, once popular to downtown areas of small and large southern cities has made transitions to keep pace with changing needs in the market. The store recently announced the branding of a the focus “Modern Southern Style.” Along with the celebration, store associates have adopted McKissick Elementary School to provide picnic tables and books to. Kim Diffie, Carol Wardlaw, Fiedler, Tammy King and Ellen Griffen sort through some of the books donated.
