Bob Brown
EASLEY — James Robert “Bob” Brown, 70, husband of Lorraine D. Brown passed from this life Monday May 20, 2013.
Bob was born in Spartanburg County to the late James A. and Wilma J. Brown on June 12, 1942. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years Lorraine; children, Melissa (Brett) Kahley, Jandi (Randy) Withrow, Robert (Audrey) Brown and Ami (Gene) Hinkle; grandchildren, Joshua Kahley, Grant Kahley, Savannah Kahley, Claire Withrow, Amalee Brown, Ellison Brown, Corbin Hinkle and Collin Hinkle; sister, Linda (Danny) Ard; brother Ken Brown. Also surviving is a special aunt and uncle, Martha and Paul Guy.
He graduated from Greenville High School in 1960 and attended Furman University. Bob was the owner and operator of Southern Refrigeration Inc. for many years. He was a devoted family man and worked hard for his family. All of the grandchildren called him “Happi”, and it was an accurate description of him. After his retirement, he enjoyed working in the yard and gardening with his grandchildren. Bob was a past deacon, leader of the RA group and Sunday School teacher at Cross Roads Baptist Church. His legacy as a humble Christian man lives on in his grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Cross Roads Baptist Church 160 Cross Roads Church Road Easley SC at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens. The family greeted friends from 7:00 - 9:00pm on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens.

Robert Griffin
LIBERTY — Robert Lee Griffin, 41, of Liberty, passed from this life Monday, May 20, 2013.
Lee was born in Easley, son of Gerald and Ann Holcombe Griffin. He was a heavy equipment operator and of the Baptist Faith. Lee was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish.
Survivors include his parents, of the home, son, Josh Griffin of Liberty, daughter, Breanna Griffin of Easley and his sister, Tina Ellenburg of Liberty. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Lillian Valerie Griffin.
The family received friends from 1 to 2 PM Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with funeral services following in the chapel at 2PM. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
The family will gather at the home of his parents in Liberty.

Gene Anthony Finley
AUBURN, WA — Gene A. Finley, 67, formally of Pickens, husband of the late Melanie Finley, passed from this life April 15, 2013 at his home.
Born in Ashwell, England a son of Jessie Wallace Finley of the home and the late Ray Finley.
Mr. Finley was a 1967 graduate of Clemson University, he was an engineer with Boeing in Seattle, Washington and was retired after thirty-five years of service.
Survivors include his mother, a sister; Rebecca Freeman (Jimmy) of Pickens and a special niece and nephew Rae Holcombe and Corey Freeman, three great nieces and one great nephew.
Visitation was 2 PM until 3 PM Sunday, May 19, 2013 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home followed by a memorial service to celebrate Gene’s life at 3 PM.
