PICKENS COUNTY—Norman Keith Burgess is set to make an appearance at the Pickens County Court House on Monday, as he faces several charges of criminal sexual conduct
Burgess is charged with second degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, lewd act on a minor and third degree criminal sexual conduct.
Burgess’ indictment says he “did willfully and lewdly commit or attempt a lewd and lascivious act upon or with the body, or its parts, of M.L.T., a child under the age of sixteen years, with intent of arousing, appealing to, or gratifying the lust, passions, or sexual desires of himself or the minor child.”
The indictment states the incidents occurred on or between Nov. 2, 2001 and Nov. 1, 2003, and on or between Nov. 2, 2003 and March 23, 2007.
Burgess was arrested on April 2, 2007.
A hearing is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Monday.
