Youth anglers from around South Carolina will descend on the Midlands for the 1st Annual S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Youth Bass Fishing Championship. The tournament will be held on Lake Murray March 23rd with the weigh in at the Palmetto Sportsmen’s Classic at the SC State Fairgrounds in the Nutt Cattle Arena. Reunion of Upcountry family history event set
The free event will include cemetery tours, workshops devoted to family history and a large display of photos and other items from local families of the Old Pendleton District, which became present-day Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties. Chick-fil-A of Easley supports several community projects in the Pickens County and Powdersville Communities. Feed A Hungry Child, which serves 406 elementary school children food on the weekends was the recipient of a check for $293 from Easley Chick-fil-A.
