Veterinary Technology Adoption Day is Thursday PENDLETON —- Tri-County Technical College’s Veterinary Technology Department will hold a Pet Adoption Day March 14, from 2 – 6 p.m. at Halbert Hall on its Pendleton Campus.
Dogs are leash trained and taught basic commands, while the cats are socialized with people and other cats. All animals are spayed or neutered and vaccinated. There is a $45 fee payable at the time of adoption. This fee includes a microchip and registration.

Ardis honored at Baptist Easley EASLEY — Baptist Easley Hospital recently named Karen Ardis, MD, the Cam Underhill Practicing Excellence Physician of the Quarter award winner. The award is based on the Baptist Easley Medical Staff Standards of Behavior: Integrity, Compassion, and Competence. Dr. Ardis, currently President of the Medical Staff, serves as Medical Director of the Wound and Hyperbaric Center and also as Chief Medical Information Officer.

Four Easley seniors attend science event at state capital EASLEY — Four Easley High School seniors were selected by Science Department Head, Jan Burroughs, to attend the Role Models in Medicine at USC’s Medical University Center in Columbia.
“The four seniors I selected were Lauren Williams, Dane Weyman, Julia Gates, and Hunter Dodd,” Burroughs said. “I chose them based on their performance in class and their interest in going into the medical field.”
