POWDERSVILLE — The 2014 season kicked off in high fashion for the high-flying Patriots of Powdersville High School as they opened the 2014 season with a 41-20 win over the visiting Mustangs of Palmetto.First year starting quarterback Wesley Turner shrugged off the season opening jitters and led the Patriot offense on the ground and through the air, keeping the Mustang defense on its heels all night long and picking up his first career win as a starter.Defensively the Patriots did allow 20 points with most coming after the Powdersville offense had built a strong lead in the game.
