SIX MILE - A 16-year-old girl recently reported to police that a friend's father drugged her and then sexually assaulted her.
The teen said it happened while she was spending the night with her friend.
County deputies arrested and charged a Six Mile man last Wednesday in connection with the case.
They charged Sammy Alonzo Donald, 44, of 223 Shadydale Circle, with first degree criminal sexual conduct, according to the arrest warrant.
The warrant alleges Donald gave the teen medication after she complained of a stomach ache and that the medicine "caused her to become physically helpless.
"The defendant committed a sexual battery while she was asleep," the warrant alleges.
The victim reported that she woke up during the alleged assault, according to the warrant.
Donald was taken to the Pickens County Detention Center. His bond was set at $20,000.
