EASLEY — An Easley woman was arrested last week and charged with “inflicting great bodily injury on a child.”

According to the arrest warrant, Diana Lynn Tucker, 30, of 600 Fifth Street in Easley “willfully (took) actions to inflict great bodily injury” to a six-year-old female child.

According to the warrant, Tucker submerged the child in hot water, causing first and second degree burns around the mid section of the child’s body.

The warrant states that the accused took such actions while acting as a guardian and/or sole care give to the child. The incident occurred while both the victim and the accused were at 811 East Main Street, Easley.

The report stated that the victim had to receive medical treatment through the Greenville Hospital system, and the extent of the injury may cause permanent disfigurement and/or protracted loss or impairment.
