Frances Bolding Looper, 85, of Pickens, SC, died Monday, March 26, 2012. She was the wife of the late Paul Looper and daughter of Maggie and Henry Bolding. She was a lifelong resident of the Praters Creek Community and active member of Praters Creek Baptist Church. She retired from Keowee-Toxaway State Park after many years of service as a receptionist in the Interpretive Center.

She is survived by her children: Cathy Rhodes and husband John of Saluda, NC; Stan Looper and wife Cathy of Piedmont; Marshall Looper and wife Ellen of Aiken; and Mandy Stokes of Pickens. She has eight grandchildren: Andrea Rhodes, Jonathan Rhodes, Anna Eaton, Tori Looper, Tyler Looper, Sarah Looper, Matthew Looper and Kaity Stokes. She also has four great grandchildren: Maddie Rhodes, Tristan Rhodes, Cate Eaton, and Sidney Rhodes.

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 28, 2012, with Revs. Trenton Connely and Jason Moss officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
