LIBERTY - The Pickens County Airport and Pickens County Meals on Wheels present the 3rd Annual Wings and Wheels Event to be held Saturday April 14, 2012 from 10am to 4pm. Enjoy the day at the beautiful Pickens County Airport with a classic car show, airplane rides, food and fun for the entire family. Admission is free!
Also on display at the Cruise-In will be the $26,000 Bobber, custom-designed and built by Redneck Engineering, to be given away by Pickens County Meals on Wheels. Tickets will be sold at the event, or you also can buy tickets online at www.MealsOnWheelsGiveaway.com. On April 30 Pickens County Meals on Wheels will award this one-of-a-kind bike to the winning ticket holder. The Giveaway is being sponsored by Eddie Howard, president and owner of Jet Expeditors, Inc., of Easley.
All proceeds will benefit Pickens County Meals on Wheels, and will help provide funding to deliver hot noontime meals to more than 230 Pickens County residents. Volunteers, community contributions and special events like the Annual Wings and Wheels Event are the essential cornerstones of the Pickens County Meals on Wheels program.
