PICKENS - In an effort to better serve patients and their needs, Cannon has signed a partnership with Behavioral Health Services of Pickens County to provide onsite services at Cannon Family Practice Pickens. The office of Dr. Dahlhausen, Dr. Clinch and Glenda Snyder, FNP will house a counselor from Behavioral Health in the practice who will only see patients of the Cannon Family Practice system. “Our community has some wonderful healthcare services available, but it’s sometimes difficult to coordinate these services and the patient doesn’t get the full benefit of everything that’s offered,” said Dr. Daniel Dahlhausen of Cannon Family Practice Pickens. “With this new partnership, patients will not have to make separate appointments and go to a different location, it will all be done under one roof, which creates better continuity of care.”
The arrangement will allow physicians to refer patients of the Cannon Family Practice system for counseling services and they will receive those services in the practice, rather than having to go to the behavioral health offices. “This partnership will provide an opportunity for more patients to benefit from the combination of medical and behavioral care,” said Bob Hiott, Executive Director of Behavioral Health Services. Services include everything from behavioral issues (anxiety, depression, etc) to substance abuse. This partnership should allow for easier access to behavioral health services for Cannon patients.
