DACUSVILLE—On Labor Day weekend, Dacusville Farm Days Inc. will hold its well-known and loved annual gathering in Dacusville.

One difference this year will be its dedication to the memory of Randy Robinson, son of the founders

The two day event will feature a variety of attractions including; a peddle tractor pull, vendors, antique cars, bluegrass and gospel music.

The event was founded by Jimmy and Jane Robinson of Pickens County who are dedicating this year’s show to the memory of their son, Randy Robinson, who passed away on December, 9 2011.

“Randy was one of a kind, everyone loved him, and he restored a lot of old tractors,” said Jimmy Robinson, the event’s founder and father of Randy. “There are no words to describe how we miss him and what he meant to us.”

Prior to his death, Randy played a large role in the show with duties that included event planning, event management, and tractor restoration.

“He was always very helpful, very kind, always there when you needed him, and he will be missed,” said Rhonda Youngblood, longtime attendee of the event.

There will be a place set aside on the grounds during the Dacusville Farm Days event for friends and visitors to leave items to commemorate Randy’s memory.

“I think the event has lasted the 18 years because of Randy. He had such a big interest in it, he loved the people, and the people loved him,” said Jane Robinson.
