Margaret Patricia Doyle Bowie, Charlotte, NC passed away Friday, October 26, 2012 in her sleep at her

assisted living facility. Born July 20 1925 in Barnsley, Yorkshire, England, she immigrated to the US with

her parents in 1928. A retired homemaker, she was a resident of the Eastatoee Valley, SC for 25 years.

She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, George F. Bowie, Jr. and her siblings, Jack Doyle,

Kathleen Doyle Curtis and Darrell Doyle. Survivors are her brother, William Doyle of Bethlehem, PA;

her sons, George Bowie of Pittsboro, NC and Mark Bowie of Apex, NC; daughter, Joan Bowie Nelson of

Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Stephen Bowie of New York, NY and Sharon Nelson of Chicago, IL. Per Mrs.

Bowie’s wishes, she was cremated and her ashes will be scattered of the coast of Duck, NC. Her family

would like to thank the staff at Legacy Heights Senior Living for taking great care of Mrs. Bowie for 4

years.
