Odis Spencer, 72, of Greenville, husband of Gladys Roper Spencer, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013.

Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Coke and Mary Lathan Spencer.

Mr. Spencer was the retired owner of Golden Shears Barber Shop.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by son, Timothy Spencer of Lucedale, MS; one grandchild; three great grandchildren; sisters, Annie Spencer of North Myrtle Beach, Muriel Robinson of Beaufort, GA, and Stella Mooney of GA; brothers, J.R. Spencer of GA, Bobby Spencer of Westminster, Hoke Spencer of Westminster, and Earl Spencer of Donalds.

He was preceded in death by brother, Jack Spencer.

Visitation was held Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 1, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. in Stephens Memorial Gardens in Toccoa, GA.
