WALHALLA — The 10th Circuit Solicitor has filed charges in connection with a Clemson University graduate student’s death in a hunting accident last month.

Adam Corey Becker, 28, of 110 Earlstead Drive, Walhalla, died after being rushed to the Oconee Memorial Center emergency room after the incident, which occurred on Saturday, March 21.

Solicitor Chrissy T. Adams has charged Earl Dean “Buddy” Jordan, 40, with criminal negligent use of a fire arm resulting in death.

Jordan was released on a $25,000 personal recognizance bond.

Autopsy results revealed that Becker died on internal bleeding after being shot in the abdomen by a .22-caliber rifle bullet.

Becker had been hunting hogs on property off of Whitecut Road in Walhalla.
