B. Foster Brown, 87, of Anderson Highway, widower of Lillie Mae Lesley Brown died on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2009 at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital.

Born, March 24, 1922 at his present home on Anderson Highway, Easley. He was the son of the late Hovey Oliver and Ila E. Foster Brown. He was a World War II Veteran of the US Army where he served at Pearl Harbor. He was a carpenter and farmer and for 25 years he helped build his wife’s catering business, Lillie’s Catering.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Bill Drake of Taylors; Brenda and Bruce Meyer of Simpsonville; son, J B Brown of Greenville; two granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Lesley “Missy” Looper Craddock and Peter Craddock of Greenville, Jennifer Looper Paradis and Ian Paradis of Simpsonville; great-grandsons: Joseph “Jack” and Benjamin Craddock; Ian Emile and Lucas Foster Paradis. Also surviving are brothers Ford (Catherine) and Tony (Judy) Brown of Easley; sisters, Evelyn and Mildred Brown, Tommye (Gerald) Bice, Jessie Ann “Bootsie” Knight and Carolyn (Grady) Fowler of Easley. He was predeceased by brothers Lewis and Jay H. “Buck” Brown.

The family would like to express their special thanks to the staff and caregivers of Oakleaf Village Assisted Living Center, Greenville.

Visitation will be from 2:30 PM to 4 PM on Thursday in the Mausoleum Chapel of Hillcrest Memorial Park with the service to follow in the Mausoleum Chapel at 4 PM.

Memorials may be made to Pickens County Meals on Wheels, Post Office Box 1162, Pickens, South Carolina 29671 or the charity of your choice.

The family is at their respective homes.
