SIX MILE — An Easley woman died Wednesday afternoon at a county park on Lake Keowee.

Teresa Cannon, 45, of 112 Briarwood Road, was pronounced dead at Mile Creek Park around just after 2 p.m., according to Coroner Kandy Kelley.

However, the cause of death is not known at this time, she said.

Cannon died while on a floatation device, Kelley said.

At this point, it is not clear if she died from drowning, natural causes, or something else, she said.

It will take six to eight weeks before the cause of death can be determined, according to Kelley.
