Bluegrass at Table Rock State Park Saturday

The toe-tapping sounds of bluegrass music will sail out of the Table Rock Barn and over the mountains Saturday night as Table Rock State Park hosts a bluegrass concert.

The high energy “Different Strokes” concert begins at 7 p.m. and runs until 9:30 p.m. at Table Rock Pinnacle Pavilion.

Admission is $5 at the door. Children 6 and under get in free.

The music doesn’t stop on Saturday as Table Rock State Park’s “Music on the Mountain” bluegrass jam sessions continue through the fall and into early next year.

The jam sessions feature talented pickers from around the area, including the up and coming young members of YAMS, the Young Appalachian Musicians” program that pairs experienced musicians with students eager to learn how to play bluegrass.

The series will be held 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, August 8, Saturday; 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, January 9 and 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. Saturday, February 6.
