EASLEY — Law enforcement, with the help of several other agencies, arrested five people Friday and seized a large amount of drugs with a street value of $500,000.

All five people, Carlos Beltran-Verde, 27; Jonathan Enrique Acosta-Corralco, 21; Carlos Fair Silva-Tolentino, 30; Adan Arellano-Chaves, 21; and Astra Starr Marie Barlow, 24, were charged with trafficking cocaine in excess of 400 grams, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking cocaine base and possession of a controlled substance.

The arrests came as part of a joint investigation between the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, the Easley Police Department and the S.C. Law Enforcement Division.

Agents seized the drugs and made the arrests when executing a search warrant at a home at 1521 Brushy Creek Road, Easley, according to a release from the Sheriff’s Office.

They seized about 4 kilos of cocaine, between one and two ounces of meth, between one and two ounces of cocaine base (crack cocaine), hydrocodone, cash, and several firearms, including handguns and an assault rifle.

All five arrested were taken to the Pickens County Detention Center, where they are being held without bond.
