EASLEY - An Easley man died Saturday after his car was struck on Thomas Mill Road.
Douglas Dodgens, 57, of 195 Elbert Clark Drive, Easley died after the collision, which happened at 12:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
The collision occured as Dodgens was traveling in his Ford Taurus on Thomas Mill Road, said Lance Cpl. Bryan McDougald with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
A 2006 Nissan Altima driven by Michael Holcombe, 30, of Piedmont struck Dodgens' vehicle, McDougald said.
Holcome allegedly disregarded a stop sign as he was driving east on Hester Store Road, he said.
Both Dodgens and Holcombe were transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital where Dodgens was pronounced dead, said Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley.
Kelley said Dodgens was wearing a seat belt.
Holcombe has been charged with felony driving under the influence.
The Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
