I would like to take time express my gratitude and appreciation to the people of the Pickens community, and everyone whom came out to support all the hard work that my mothers co workers at Laurel Hill Living Center did for me on Oct 3rd, by putting on a huge benefit.
Prayers were answered, the weather was great, and the turnout was heartwarming. I want to personally thank following local merchants for their generous donations: Michaels on Main of Pickens, Brocks, The Corner Grill, Bivens Hardware, Peebles, The Rock at Jocassee Golf Club, A+ Automotive of Anderson, The Home Depot of Easley, Gwynn’s Tire and Alignment of Easley, Foothills Cleaning Services, Fatz Café of Easley, Michael’s Pizzeria of Easley, Big Rock Recording Studios, The Gravely Law Firm, and The Gravely Agency.
I also would like to give a special thanks to Rep. Davey Hiott and Rocky Nimmons, Sen. Larry Martin, Alex and Carmen Saitta, Ms. Betty Stephens, Stanley and Linda Aultman at Kountry Katering, Todd Griggs, and our good mayor, Mr. David Owens.
Much love and appreciation goes out to my family and friends. Also, much thanks to Ms. Gracie Clendening and her friends at the Pickens High School Beta Club.
Enough cannot be said for everyone involved, including the Pickens First Baptist Church for helping to make this a successful event. I am making progress with my illness, and the proceeds raised will help with insurance co pays and medicines I will need for the next few years in fighting this illness, hoping to get it into remission. I have been told as I grew up how wonderful the people in our area are, Now
I know this to be true.
Sincerely,
Kevin Hughes Gravely
