4 charged in U.S. 123 auto break-ins

EASLEY — County authorities announced Tuesday they have arrested three adults and one juvenile in connection with a string of auto breakings and larcenies at businesses on U.S. 123.

The numerous incidences were reported in the area between Sept. 13 and Oct. 11, according to police.

The arrests were made following the execution of a search warrant at 130 Gardenia Court, Easley. Charges brought against the four include auto breaking, burglary, grand larceny, simple larceny, malicious damage and trespassing.

Robert Benjamin Simmons III, 17, of that residence, faces a total of 26 charges. He is being held at the Pickens County Detention Center on a $21,000 bond.

Daniel Alfred Berry, 19, address unknown, had a total of 28 warrants served on him. He is also at the detention center, being held on a $20,000 bond.

Christopher Nile Bowen, 19, also of 130 Gardenia Court, faces four charges. He was released from the detention center Oct. 15 on a $6,300 bond.

The juvenile arrested is 12 years old, and he was charged with nine counts of auto breaking and one count of grand larceny. He was released into the custody of his mother.
