All-star Soccer Update: After a tournament opening win against Walhalla 3-2, our 10U team lost in a hard fought contest on Saturday against Seneca in overtime
1-0. The 12U team will play this Thursday in Seneca @ 6:30 p.m. They have been on fire as they have defeated Clemson 2-0 and Abbeville 6-0. The 12’s will play in Seneca for the title. Our 15U team opened their tournament play on Saturday versus Abbeville with a win 10-1. They will also play this Thursday in Seneca @ 7:30 p.m. against Walhalla for the championship.
Don’t forget, the Western District for Football All-stars begins this week. The 9&10 yr. olds play this Thursday at home versus Abbeville @ a time to be announced at the Pickens High School football field. The 11&12 yr. olds play tonight, Monday 11/16, in Laurens at 7:00 p.m. Should they advance, they will play on Thursday at home. Remember, these are single elimination tournaments. Admission will be charged at all tournament sites. Please call the Rec. Dept. for directions at 878-2296.
