EASLEY — A Pickens teen is in critical care at Greenville Memorial Hospital after being stabbed in Easley last Friday.

Andrew Sutherland, 19, of Windmont Road, was assaulted with a knife at a location near the 100 block of Fruit Mountain Road, according to officials with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

Police have arrested another teen in connection with the incident.

Cory Dalton Crump, also 19, of 303 Pace Bridge Road, Marietta, was arrested Saturday and charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, according to an arrest warrant.

A judge denied bond, and Crump is being held at the Pickens County Detention Center.

According to the incident report, two witnesses said the incident happened during a fight.
