EASLEY — An Easley man has died from what appeared to be a gunshot wound, according to the coroner’s office.

James Anthony Gibson, 21, of 701 Black Snake Road, was found dead in his home Monday, said coroner Kandy Kelley.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and an autopsy was scheduled for Tuesday at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

The case is being investigated by the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.

Assistant Sheriff Tim Morgan said detectives are interviewing acquaintances, but there were no suspects as of press time.

Anyone with information can call 898-5500 or Crimestoppers at 898-KOPS.
