Roma Aliene Simmons, age 101, formerly of 263 Bethlehem Ridge Road, died Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Laurel Hill Living Center.



Born in Easley, Mrs. Simmons was a daughter of the late Luther and Dora Hayes Burns. She was a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.



Surviving are a son, Charles Simmons and his wife, Dorothy, of Pickens; and two grandsons, Lt. Col. Rick Simmons and Wally Simmons. Mrs. Simmons was predeceased by her husband, W.B. Simmons; a son, Wallace Simmons; and several brothers and sisters.



Graveside funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.



The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM Monday.
