Clemson resident go to polls tomorrow to select new Council member

CLEMSON - Clemson residents will vote tomorrow to fill a vacant seat on Clemson City Council.

Jessica Robinson, June Hay and Crossie Cox are vying to fill the seat left vacant by Elouise James' resignation last year.

Polls for the non-partisan election open at 7 a.m. and will remain open until 7 p.m., according to county election officials.

The following Clemson area precincts will be open for voting tomorrow:

The Stone Church Precinct votes at the National Guard Armory, located at 141 Pendleton Rd.

The University Precinct votes at University Lutheran Church, located at 111 Sloan St.

The Abel Precinct votes at Abel Baptist Church, located at 150 Abel Road.

Residents in the Calhoun Precinct will cast their ballots at First Baptist Church, located at 397 College Ave.

The Clemson II Precinct will vote at Clemson Elementary School, located at 581 Berkeley Drive.

The Clemson I Precinct will vote at Mt Tabor Baptist Church at 827 Old Greenville Hwy.

The Central I Precinct will vote at Central/Clemson Library, located at 105 Commons Way.

There are two temporary polling changes for tomorrow's election.

The Bishop Branch Precinct will vote at Clemson Elementary School, located at 581 Berkeley Drive.

The Morrison Precinct will cast their ballots at Clemson United Methodist

Church, which is located at 300 Frontage Rd.

A run-off election, if needed, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010.
