On Saturday February 20, Mr. Townsend will instruct a “Wildflower Propagation” workshop from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. using the Joe & Maggie Rampey Interpretive Gardens at the Pickens County Museum as the classroom. Registered participants will enjoy a hands-on opportunity to further their gardening abilities. Tuition for this workshop is $ 30 ($ 25 for museum members). Class is limited to 20 students and pre-registration is required. In this workshop students will learn to propagate their own wildflowers from seeds, cuttings, and division. Each student will learn proper seed storage, the meaning of seed stratification, and build a simple mist chamber for their stem cutting. To register for the workshop or for more information call the Pickens County Museum at 864.898.5027.
