PICKENS COUNTY—District three will soon have a new representative on the Pickens County Council.

Randy Crenshaw defeated Kevin Link in unofficial general election tally Tuesday night, securing his spot on the council.

“I want to thank all my supporters, and I want to thank the opposition for a clean race,” Crenshaw said. “I look forward to working with the council and getting started there. We’ve got a lot to do.”

With 14 of 16 precincts reporting, Crenshaw received 6,711 votes totaling 83 percent. Link received 1,334 total votes.

“I’m very excited and I look forward to the days ahead,” Crenshaw said.
