EASLEY — Mary Ressie Watson Bowen, 87, wife of the late Tommie W. Bowen, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 11, 2012.

Ressie was born in Pickens County, to the late Binam and Celia Brown Watson, Mrs. Bowen retired from Alice Manufacturing Elijean Plant in 1987 and Judson Plant of Milliken Mills in 1989. She was a volunteer at Palmetto Health Baptist and also worked at The Willows of Easley. She also retired from Wal-Mart in 2007 where she was a door greeter, and was a member of the Easley Church of God for sixty-seven years. She loved embroidering and making quilts. Ressie was a loving mother, sister, and friend who was loved by all and will be missed by many.

She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Jameson (Ronnie), and Sue Tinsley (Chuck), both of Easley; three granddaughters, Daronda Patterson (Eric), Jennifer Chastain (Michael) and Amanda Isaacs (Brent), all of Easley; ten great-grandchildren, Starr, Khrista, Kourtnei, Lacey, Sebrena, Andruw, Austin, Jakob, Justin, and Braylin; one great great-grandson, Tiergan; a brother, Milford Watson, and a sister, Mildred Smith.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three brothers and a sister, Austin Watson, Cleo Watson, Carman Watson and Norman Watson.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 14, 2012 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.

The family of Mrs. Bowen would like to give special thanks to her care-givers for everything they did.
